The Choice is Yours
This or That
This past Sunday we celebrated the truly live and present Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus, known as Corpus Christi or, more formally called, the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ.
“Therefore, because the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself, in like manner, hath been partaker of the same: that, through death, He might destroy him who had the empire of death, that is to say, the devil: And might deliver them, who, through the fear of death, were all their lifetime subject to servitude.” —Heb 2:14-15
In case you haven’t read how I break down exactly how the Eucharist is the truly live and present Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Christ and are interested in learning about it, I’ll supply the link to that post below:
I mention Sunday with the hope that what I say today stays with you tomorrow.
Catholics hold the gift of the two most powerful forms of prayer and worship. The Sacrifice of the Mass is the highest and most powerful form of prayer and worship.
The rosary is the second most powerful and highest form of prayer.
If the devil wants to destroy the second most powerful form of prayer in the Rosary, what makes you think he doesn’t want to destroy the highest form of prayer in the form of the Mass?
“To mine Order [the Dominicans], the Blessed Virgin shall entrust a devotion to be known as the Rosary, and to thine Order [the Carmelites], Angelus, she shall entrust a devotion known as the [Brown] Scapular. One day, through the Rosary and the [Brown] Scapular, she shall save the World!”[1] —St. Dominic of Guzmán to St. Angelus of Jerusalem, in Rome.
“The Rosary and the Scapular are inseparable.” —Sr. Lúcia dos Santos
“I, the Mother of Grace, shall descend on the Saturday after their death and whomsoever I shall find in Purgatory I shall free so that I may lead them to the holy mountain of life everlasting.” — O.L. of Mt. Carmel
She’ll personally lead all those to Heaven who shall have worn the Scapular and fulfilled the conditions: The first is to wear the Brown Scapular continuously. The second is to observe Chastity according to one’s state in life. The third is to recite the Little Office of the Blessed Virgin daily.
How does one guard tradition by restricting its celebration?
Pope Francis chose to sign ‘Traditionis Custodes’ on July 16, 2021. That is the Feast Day of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, which is basically the feast of the Brown Scapular. The document was designed to limit and eventually end the Traditional Latin Mass.
By choosing this date, the devil was attempting to undo both the Rosary and the Brown Scapular (since they’re inseparable), in addition to the Holy Eucharist. This is how the devil operates. He chooses dates of significance in an attempt to undo the Will of God and reverse what is good with evil disguised as good. The devil is the best at being a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
A document to guard tradition drafted with the goal of removing the most traditional form of the Most Powerful prayer signed on the Feast Day of one half of the equation that will save the world which happens to be inseparable from its partner in the Holy Rosary doesn’t feel very Godly unless your god is the opposite of The Holy Trinity.
When that document came out last year, I wrote a call to action entitled ‘Do This One Thing Today.’ I wrote it because I could see the writing on the wall, so to speak. Here’s a link for those who haven’t read it yet:
As you read it, pay attention to the dates I mention at the very end. At the time, the original “call to action” was a suggestion. It’s more than a suggestion now, as I feel it should be a necessity. Keep reading and, hopefully, you’ll understand why I say that now.
Prayer to Our Lady from Padre Pio
Have pity on me! May one compassionate look of yours revive me, purify me and lift me up to God; raising me from the filth of this world that I may go to Him Who created me, Who regenerated me in Holy Baptism, giving me back my white stole of innocence that original sin had so defiled. Dear Mother, make me love Him! Pour into my heart that love that burned in yours for Him. Even though I be clothed in misery, I revere the mystery of your Immaculate Conception, and I ardently wish that through it you may purify my heart so that I may love your God and my God. Cleanse my mind that it may reach up to Him and contemplate Him and adore Him in spirit and in truth. Purify my body that I too may be a tabernacle for Him and be less unworthy of possessing Him when He deigns to come to me in Holy Communion. Amen.
The writing on the wall I felt is explained below.
You can get with this, or you can get with that, but THIS is where it’s at!
If they’re successful in eliminating the Traditional Latin Mass, then I’m afraid the “that” Mass above is what will become the “new normal” at a church near you, and that simply CANNOT happen.
The title of this post was inspired by the song ‘The Choice is Yours,’ by Black Sheep, from their album ‘A Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing.’1
Prayer to Mary, Mother of Grace
O Our Lady of Graces, heavenly treasurer of all graces, Mother of God and my Mother Mary, since you are the first-born daughter of the Eternal Father and hold in your hands His Omnipotence, be moved to pity my soul and grant me the grace which I fervently ask of You. Hail Mary…
O Mary as Our Lady of Graces, merciful dispenser of divine graces, Mary most holy, Mother of the Eternal Incarnate Word Who has crowned you with His immense wisdom, look upon the greatness of my sorrow and grant me the grace I need so much. Hail Mary…
O Mary, Mother of Grace, most loving dispenser of divine graces, Immaculate Spouse of the Eternal Holy Spirit, most holy Mary, who have received from Him a heart which is moved to pity by human misfortunes and which is constrained to offer consolation to those who suffer, be moved to pity my soul and grant me the grace which I await from you with full confidence in your immense goodness. Hail Mary…
O my Mother, refuge of poor sinners, consolation of the afflicted, hope of those who despair, and most powerful help of Christians, I place all my confidence in you, being sure that you will obtain for me from Jesus the grace which I so much desire if it is for the good of my soul. Hail Mary…
